What Our Clients Say

After a miscarriage in 2023, I wanted to give myself the best chance at a healthy pregnancy. I started working with Tanisha, who took the time to deeply understand my body and goals. She reviewed my diet, prescribed targeted supplements, and created a plan to support fertility and egg quality. Just three months later, I became pregnant. Today, we’re cuddling our newborn baby girl—and I’m forever grateful. Tanisha was not only knowledgeable, but compassionate and empowering throughout the entire journey. I recommend her to anyone looking to take their health—and their future—seriously.

I lived with TMJ for four years—chronic jaw pain, headaches, and constant tension. I tried everything with little relief. AOM was the first place that looked beyond the pain to understand the root cause. Dr. Colby and the team assessed my posture, neck, and overall tension patterns. Their approach was different: holistic, targeted, and rooted in mobility and awareness. Within weeks, my symptoms improved dramatically. I finally felt heard, supported, and seen—not just treated. If you’re dealing with chronic pain and haven’t found answers, AOM is where your healing journey can truly begin.
Gabriel Simmons
Before joining Art of Mobility, I was in constant leg pain and couldn’t correct my posture no matter what I tried. The team—Dr. Colby, Justin, and Christian—designed a personalized program combining hands-on therapy and specific exercises. In just a few months, not only did the pain disappear, but I was lifting weights without even feeling sore the next day. I’m now in the best shape of my life and finally understand how my body works. Their patience, care, and encouragement kept me going, and their deep knowledge made all the difference. AOM changed my relationship with movement forever.
Heather Simpson
I came to AOM dealing with digestive issues and inflammation that no doctor had been able to fully solve. Working with Tanisha gave me a whole new understanding of my health. She created a tailored plan and helped me become more intentional with my habits. Then I started physio with Tharaniya to address chronic lower body pain. Her approach was not just clinical—it was fitness-informed, empowering, and deeply personal. With her help, I’m now moving pain-free and stronger than ever. AOM didn’t just treat my symptoms—they helped me reconnect with my body. This place is one-of-a-kind.

A Whole-Person Approach

Menopause affects many systems at once, so it helps to look at the whole picture. Our approach follows the same pillars as our Longevity Framework: movement, nutrition, sleep, emotional wellbeing and targeted supplementation.

Your care team works together, and we coordinate with your family doctor or gynaecologist where needed, for example when you are considering hormone therapy.

Services That Help

Naturopathy looks at symptoms, sleep, energy and nutrition, and can include vitamin injections where appropriate. Pelvic health physiotherapy addresses leaking, pelvic pain and pelvic floor changes and is offered at our Port Credit clinic.

Personal training with a therapist and Clinical Pilates build the muscle and bone strength that matter more after menopause. Psychotherapy supports mood, anxiety and the emotional side of this transition, and nutrition coaching helps with energy and body composition. Facial acupuncture is available for skin changes.

Why Strength Training Matters in Menopause

Falling estrogen speeds up loss of muscle and bone. Progressive strength training is one of the most effective ways to protect both, along with balance and impact work where appropriate. We help you start safely, even if you have never lifted before.

Your First Visit

Every plan starts with a full assessment. Your clinician looks at how you move, where it hurts, what you want to get back to, and the things that quietly shape recovery: sleep, stress, nutrition and daily load. From there you get hands-on care and a written Longevity Plan built around your symptoms and goals, with clear steps between visits.

That plan follows our five-pillar Longevity Framework: movement, nutrition, sleep, emotional and mental wellness, and targeted supplementation. If you would benefit from another discipline, your clinician can bring in a colleague from the same clinic so your care stays connected.

We see clients at our Port Credit clinic in Mississauga and our Trinity Bellwoods clinic in Toronto. Many extended health plans cover our services, and we can direct bill many insurers. See pricing and insurance for details.

Using Your Insurance

  • Direct billing. We bill most major insurers directly, so you only pay any portion your plan does not cover. See direct billing.
  • What to bring. Your insurance card or your plan and member numbers, and any reports or imaging related to your concern.
  • No referral needed to book. Some extended health plans ask for a physician referral before they reimburse, so check your plan details.
  • OHIP. OHIP generally does not cover services at private clinics like ours. Most people use extended health benefits or a health spending account.
  • Receipts. You receive itemized receipts for any amount you submit yourself.

Women in Midlife & Menopause FAQs

Can naturopathy help with menopause symptoms?

A naturopathic doctor can assess your symptoms, sleep, nutrition and lifestyle and suggest an individual plan. They will also coordinate with your doctor if you are using or considering hormone therapy.

Is leaking during menopause normal?

It is common, but it is not something you have to live with. Pelvic health physiotherapy can often help. It is offered at our Port Credit clinic.

Is it too late to start strength training?

No. Muscle and bone respond to training at any age. We start where you are and progress gradually.

Do you prescribe hormone therapy?

No. Hormone therapy is prescribed by physicians and nurse practitioners. We work alongside your doctor and support the other parts of your health.

Is this care covered by insurance?

Naturopathy, physiotherapy and psychotherapy are often covered by extended health plans. Check your policy for details.
