Slow Down and Reset
Swedish massage uses long, flowing strokes and light to moderate pressure to ease tension and help you relax. It's registered massage therapy, so it starts with a short assessment and can be adjusted to your needs, at our clinics in Port Credit, Mississauga and Trinity Bellwoods, Toronto.

Massage therapy at Art of Mobility, at a glance. Your first visit is a 60-minute assessment and treatment with a registered massage therapist, and follow-ups are 30, 45, 60 or 75 minutes. Our sessions are movement-based, so wear shorts and a tank top or sports bra. Not sure where to start? Book a free 20-minute consultation, in person or virtual. We direct bill most extended health plans, at our Port Credit (Mississauga) and Trinity Bellwoods (Toronto) clinics.
Swedish massage is the classic full-body massage: long gliding strokes (effleurage), kneading (petrissage) and gentle rhythmic techniques, usually at a lighter to moderate pressure than deep tissue work. Many people book it to unwind from stress, sleep better or simply feel looked after.
Because it's provided by a registered massage therapist, it can still focus on a sore area or blend in firmer work where you want it.
After a miscarriage in 2023, I wanted to give myself the best chance at a healthy pregnancy. I started working with Tanisha, who took the time to deeply understand my body and goals. She reviewed my diet, prescribed targeted supplements, and created a plan to support fertility and egg quality. Just three months later, I became pregnant. Today, we’re cuddling our newborn baby girl—and I’m forever grateful. Tanisha was not only knowledgeable, but compassionate and empowering throughout the entire journey. I recommend her to anyone looking to take their health—and their future—seriously.
I lived with TMJ for four years—chronic jaw pain, headaches, and constant tension. I tried everything with little relief. AOM was the first place that looked beyond the pain to understand the root cause. Dr. Colby and the team assessed my posture, neck, and overall tension patterns. Their approach was different: holistic, targeted, and rooted in mobility and awareness. Within weeks, my symptoms improved dramatically. I finally felt heard, supported, and seen—not just treated. If you’re dealing with chronic pain and haven’t found answers, AOM is where your healing journey can truly begin.
Before joining Art of Mobility, I was in constant leg pain and couldn’t correct my posture no matter what I tried. The team—Dr. Colby, Justin, and Christian—designed a personalized program combining hands-on therapy and specific exercises. In just a few months, not only did the pain disappear, but I was lifting weights without even feeling sore the next day. I’m now in the best shape of my life and finally understand how my body works. Their patience, care, and encouragement kept me going, and their deep knowledge made all the difference. AOM changed my relationship with movement forever.
I came to AOM dealing with digestive issues and inflammation that no doctor had been able to fully solve. Working with Tanisha gave me a whole new understanding of my health. She created a tailored plan and helped me become more intentional with my habits. Then I started physio with Tharaniya to address chronic lower body pain. Her approach was not just clinical—it was fitness-informed, empowering, and deeply personal. With her help, I’m now moving pain-free and stronger than ever. AOM didn’t just treat my symptoms—they helped me reconnect with my body. This place is one-of-a-kind.
Your pace. We ask what you'd like to feel at the end of the session, relaxed, loosened, or both, and plan around it.
Comfort first. A quiet room, comfortable pressure, and draping throughout.
More when you need it. If stress is a big part of the picture, our psychotherapists and naturopathic doctor can help too.
Your first visit. You'll complete a health history form and tell your RMT what you'd like from the session. They'll leave the room while you get comfortable on the table, and you're draped throughout.
During the session. Ask for more or less pressure, or for areas to be skipped, at any time.
After your massage. Drink water, move gently, and expect possible mild soreness for a day or two after deeper work. Let your therapist know at your next visit how you felt.
Our registered massage therapists have experience in sports injuries, headaches, jaw pain, prenatal and postnatal massage, and care for runners, athletes and desk workers.

We offer direct billing with most of the following providers (coverage varies by plan and province):
Swedish uses lighter, flowing strokes mainly for relaxation; deep tissue uses slower, firmer pressure on deeper layers for chronic tension. Your RMT can blend both.
When provided by a registered massage therapist, it is usually covered as massage therapy. We offer direct billing with most plans.
60 minutes is a good start for full-body work. Shorter sessions suit one or two areas.
Undress to your comfort level. You're covered with a sheet throughout, and only the area being worked on is uncovered.
