IMS, or intramuscular stimulation, is a dry needling technique developed by Dr. Chan Gunn. A fine, solid needle is inserted into tight, shortened muscles, often near the spine, to help them release and ease nerve-related and muscular pain. At Art of Mobility, IMS is one tool within physiotherapy or chiropractic care, combined with exercise and hands-on treatment.
