You live your life. We manage your longevity .
Each session is based on a thorough assessment, allowing us to treat the specific muscles contributing to your pain or dysfunction.
Our clean, modern space is equipped for focused rehab and movement training in a welcoming, pressure-free setting.
Dry needling is paired with manual therapy, strength work, and mobility training to maximize your progress.
We look beyond the symptom to understand and treat what’s really driving your discomfort.
You’ll learn how to manage your symptoms, prevent setbacks, and take an active role in your recovery.
Dry needling is a clinical treatment that uses fine, sterile needles to deactivate myofascial trigger points, which are commonly known as muscle knots. These points often cause tightness, pain, or restricted movement and may even refer discomfort to other areas of the body.
Unlike acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine, dry needling follows modern anatomical and neurological principles.
A needle is inserted directly into a tense or dysfunctional muscle, the technique stimulates a twitch response that helps the muscle relax and promotes blood flow to the area.
Our process is grounded in clinical reasoning, movement science, and your personal goals. Here’s what to expect:
01
Dry needling can provide fast relief for common complaints like shoulder tension, neck stiffness, low back pain, hip discomfort, and more.
02
Releasing shortened or overactive muscles helps restore natural movement and joint mobility.
03
It improves circulation, reduces inflammation, and supports the body’s natural healing response—especially useful after acute injuries.
You don’t have to live with persistent pain, tightness, or limited mobility. With focused, personalized dry needling therapy at Art of Mobility, you’ll experience a new level of relief—and a renewed sense of confidence in your movement.

Most clients describe dry needling treatment as a brief, mild discomfort followed by a deep ache or twitch in the muscle. This twitch response signals the neuromuscular system reacting to the intramuscular insertion. While the sensation is short-lived, it often brings relief or a feeling of heaviness in the area.
Post-session soreness may occur for 24–48 hours—similar to how musculoskeletal tissues feel after exercise. Our physiotherapists explain each step so you feel informed and in control throughout your physiotherapy session.
Session count depends on your condition, symptom duration, and response to dry needling treatment. Some feel pain-free after one visit, while others with chronic pain or deeper spasm patterns may need multiple sessions. We reassess every 2–3 visits and adjust as needed. To ensure effective treatment, we often combine needling with mobility work or retraining as part of a full physiotherapy plan.
Dry needling is very safe when performed by trained physiotherapists, but it isn’t suitable for everyone. Conditions like bleeding disorders, immune compromise, or pregnancy require medical clearance first. We conduct a thorough intake to screen for any risks. Each insertion uses sterile, single-use needles and strict hygiene protocols. If you’re unsure, our team can help determine if this physiotherapy technique fits your needs.
Post-session care includes staying hydrated, moving gently, and avoiding intense activity. Soreness—especially in the ligament, neck, or jaw—is normal and manageable with heat or light activity.
Your physiotherapist will offer tailored aftercare, including stretches or mobility drills. Most notice better movement and less neck pain or chronic pain within 1–2 days. If discomfort lingers or you have questions, we’re here to support your recovery.

Hi, my name is Colby Ng and I am a chiropractor and completed my Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. I also completed my Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Toronto.
I have been in sports and athletics my whole life, which has pushed me to have big goals. I have my eyes set on many crazy things and know how important it is to have people that can help you do the things that matter most. While reaching my dreams mean a lot to me, I have also been lucky enough to share the joy of other people’s accomplishments. Knowing that I played a small part in helping someone reach their fitness, health, or life goals has empowered me more than I ever thought it would.
I believe that my role as a chiropractor goes beyond providing pain relief. I like to use a combination of manual techniques like deep tissue release, mobilizations, adjustments, and acupuncture to relieve the discomfort. Pairing this with exercises and rehabilitation allows me to provide the long-term relief needed to get you on track towards your goals.
When I am not in the clinic, you will find me chasing my own dreams in the weight room, on the road, on the trail, and on the climbing wall. Right now, I have my eyes set on qualifying for Boston, doing my first Ironman, and planning my next multi-day trek.

Hi! I’m Moinjan Naganthan, a Chiropractor with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science with a focus on Kinesiology and a minor in Rehabilitation Sciences. My passion for rehabilitation started with my own fitness journey and a deep curiosity to uncover how the human body works in perfect harmony. Growing up, I played a ton of soccer and began weight training. A practice I still continue today. Any injury I faced left me feeling like my body was betraying me, limiting my progress. These challenges taught me the importance of active rehabilitation in recovery, a lesson I now share with my patients.
My approach to care is patient-centered, with a focus on education and empowering individuals to take charge of their health and unlock their full potential. I emphasize active care, incorporating techniques like soft tissue therapy, joint mobilizations, joint manipulations, and dry needling. I believe that movement and mobility are key to living a healthier, happier life.
Outside the clinic, I’m often weight training or hiking with my Great Dane. I’m also working up the courage to start running—and who knows, maybe I’ll try a half marathon by the end of the year!

My name is Justin Achal and I’m a Physiotherapist who completed my Masters in Physical Therapy from Queens University and my Bachelors in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University. Prior to completing my Masters degree, I worked for nearly a decade as a Registered Kinesiologist and as a CSEP Certified Exercise Physiologist.
From helping athletes prepare for combines, to prescribing target heart rate zones for patients in cardiac rehab, I’ve always maintained that exercise is medicine. While I enjoyed helping others reach their fitness goals for years, I felt compelled towards the profession of Physiotherapy after hearing countless first hand accounts of injuries being mismanaged, and how it negatively impacted personal narratives of self worth and capability.
Since becoming a physiotherapist, I’ve continued to leverage my passions for empowering others through education and exercise, while committing to the better understanding of every patient’s unique story. I offer patients a blend of education, manual therapy, electro acupuncture and therapeutic exercise that ranges from common sense principles, to optimizing complex movement patterns.
As we work closely together to curate your specific rehab goals, I commit to helping you restore functional movement wellness, and to gain healthy perspectives in the process. Out of clinic, you’ll find me hitting the gym, on the soccer field, lying in a bunker on the golf course, or riding the first chairlift after a fresh snowfall!

Hi and welcome! My name is Tanisha Shekhar and I’m a Naturopathic Doctor. I completed my Masters in biotechnology from UofG and I received my doctor of naturopathic medicine degree from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine.
I struggled with digestive and skin issues all my life. Sinus infections and dealing with IBS issues was constant for me growing up, not to mention I was put on antibiotics at least twice a year throughout undergrad. It was when I got shingles at the end of undergrad that things really took a turn for the worse. I felt so alone and hopeless with how I was feeling. I wish someone had told me all the things I have come to learn now about. For me, everything changed when I started pinpointing my food triggers, supporting my immune system, and really understanding how the gut-brain connection which started improving my bloating, mental fog, fatigue, and anxiety. Now, thanks to my experiences and education I can really understand how important stress management, sleep, and diet is to an individual’s physical, mental and emotional health.
I’m a strong believer in educating others which is why one of naturopathic medicine’s philosophies resonates so well with me – Docere literally translates to doctor as teacher. My goal is to empower my patients and provide them with all the knowledge in order to not only help them feel their best but also provide them with the tools in order for them to take control of their health!
Outside of the clinic, you can find me gardening, prepping for my next fitness competition, experimenting to create the best gut friendly snack, and planning my next travel adventure!

Hi! My name is Sonica and I have been practicing Yoga for 10 years with a background in Kinesiology and Health Promotion! My journey to becoming a yoga teacher wasn’t easy; I suffered a series of injuries that left me with limited mobility and chronic pain.
Seeking a way to stay active and support my body’s recovery, I turned to yoga as a form of rehabilitation not just for my physical recovery, but for my mental recovery as well. Yoga provided a community and support system that I didn’t even know I needed, but became a huge part of my recovery. Through practice and my understanding of strength and conditioning training, I was able to redefine what movement and activity looked like for me as I discovered and explored my love for yoga.
My classes are rooted in my passion to build community and hold space for women who are exploring, redefining, or deepening what wellness and movement look like to them. I encourage my students to approach their practice with curiosity, play, and compassion as a way to deepen the relationship and connection between their mind and body.
When I’m not teaching yoga, I enjoy staying active through activities such as running, weightlifting, and taking various fitness classes. Additionally, I have a passion for travel and indulging in diverse cuisines!
